My 2006

Well unless everyone is lying to me its another year down the drain. It was a good one though so its ok. This year was full of excitement, highs, lows and people i love. It saw my life change in many different ways. I went to uni, dropped out of uni, started my career and found someone I love. I saw friends leave and come home again and I saw bands from all over the world come to my little town to make me jump around and smile. This year, even with its low lights was a good year and I hope the next one is just as intense.

To all my readers I hope you have a safe but more importantly fun new years eve and I hope this next year is one to remember for all the right reasons.

Good bye for this year. Have fun and be safe.

My Five Months

Five months ago my friend flew away. She left her life here in Australia to live in Malaysia for five months. We chatted on the net and sent each other photos of our lives and it was ok but it was nothing like actually having my friend here. Today she came home.

I headed to the airport this morning to pick her up and I have to admit I was nervous. What if she had changed? What if it was awkward after us not seeing each other for so long? What if she was tanned?

Nothing has changed and it is the best feeling. I like it when my life changes but I hate it when people change. It has happened in the past and I have lost friend because of it but she did not change. Same girl, same personality and still pale :)

Everything is ok.

My Three Day Holiday

So whats been going on? Well what hasn't been going on.

I finally took a few days off and ended up doing not a lot. I did spend them with the girl though which was sooo good. We headed down to my farm which is in the south of the state and it was amazing to get down there because I haven't been down there for maybe 10 months. The whole place is very dry because of the recent drought but it was still nice to be down there again. We saw plenty of possums and the family of kangaroos that live down there so it was great that the girl could see everything.

Today was Christmas and it was a pretty good day. Normally I'm not the biggest Christmas fan but this one went very smooth. The family, the girl and I woke up to open presents and then had a huge breakfast and later in the afternoon the girl and I headed to her mums house for Christmas tea.

The last week was definitely a rushed full on week so i hope this week is a bit more casual but with new years eve coming up I don't think it will be. I'm looking forward to the eve but looking forward to the new year even more.

Did I mention that I played poker on Wednesday night at my mate Kosta's house and got completely killed, lol.

Bye now!

My First Christmas

Well this is my first blogging Christmas and it's really not as exciting as you would think, lol. Well Merry Christmas guys. I hope you have a great day and enjoy the rest of your holidays.

Have fun, Bye now.

My Sorry Sorry

I hate it when people say sorry all the time when they have nothing to be sorry about. Well I don't hate it, there are only a few things in this world that I hate, but I do dislike it.

I finally got some of my Christmas shopping done tonight. I headed over to Marion to get a haircut and bought a few things for the girl and the family. I still have a few things to go but I will hopefully get it done. Just as I left Marion the second wave of the thunderstorm that blew in today hit and it dumped a mountain of rain on my car. Thank god it wasn't hail. Its really weird to have rain this late in December but we really need it because we have been in drought.

While I was shopping around I got a craving for Hubba Bubba so i bought some, grape flavour to be exact, and it was good. I haven't had Hubba Bubba for years. Still good.

Have fun.

My Erection

Its Up! We finally lifted all the panels and the flat bit of land we have been working now looks like a big oblong, hehehe oblong. Today was a long day. Its probably the toughest day we have had while working on this job and I'm just about keen for bed and its only 9:18. This is just a quick post with some photos so there will be more sometime soon.

The photos are of the crane, the actual lifting of some of the panels, A few shots from up high again and the finished product.
Bye now.

My Sky High

The panels are going up tomorrow so i will be finished with this god damn job for at least a week. We hired a boom lift so that we could get up to secure the panels and it extends up to 12.5 meters. I took it all the way up so that I could get some photos. I'm not a huge fan of heights so it was a bit freaky but still cool.

I seriously haven't done anything since the last post but work, come home eat and sleep. Its been ridiculous. This weekend i actually went out a bit. I was tired as shit but i needed a break. Friday night me and the girl just headed out for tea down at the bay and Saturday night I headed to a bar called the Alma to hang out with some of the girls friends. Its weird me and the girl have been going out for nearly 8 months but I don't know her friends all that well so it was good to hang out with them. A few of her guys friends are good blokes so we get along pretty well.

Today was my day off so the girl and I picked Hoggot and Layno up and headed to the Kentish for drinks for Calvins birthday. As you know we normally head to the Kentish for a parmy every couple of weeks but today i had TWO! One for lunch and then one again for tea. They were both great and now i feel terribly terribly full. It was a really good day. We got there at about 12:30 and left at about 8. It was a really long time to spend in such a small pub but it was fun. I lost money on the pokies and Hoggot, as usual won a few times.

As i said before the crane is coming at 7am tomorrow to lift the panels up. After tomorrow we have a bit of mucking around to do but that is it for a few weeks before we start pouring the floors. I'm so happy and cant wait to take some time off. I like working 6 and 7 days a week because the money is great but after working 80 hour weeks for a few months its starting to drag. Christmas is looking like it will be fun and i have a few plans for new years eve so that should be good too. More later.

Bye now.

My White While

Hmmm, its been a while hasn't it. Nearly a week.

Not all that much has happened really. Work has been ridiculous. I worked nearly 80 hours last week, with a couple of 14 hour days so i haven't really been in the mood to post. The weekend was good but short because of overwhelming tiredness. Friday night was a quiet night in due to work Saturday and Saturday night included a few games of pool at Chalkers with Sam's Scottish uncle and aunt.

My friend from Melbourne, Sessle, is in town at the moment so we went to Montezumas last night with some of her other friends and then hit Chalkers again. It doesn't get much better than Mexican and pool.

Thursday is a good day to look forward to because it is the day we poor the last panel and it means i will actually have some time off to relax or even think once and a while. I will be glad when we finish this job because it definitely has been a struggle. Its been good but its been a struggle.

More after Thursday :)

My Six Month Friends

In the last week or so I have come to the realization that there are a few people who I struggle to see once ever six months who I am very close to.

Its odd when I think about the types of relationships that I have with friends. Some people I see every day and barely take in their presence but I also have friends where I wont see them for 8 months and then the moment we start talking its as if no time has passed at all. Its weird the different ways people are important to you.

I always knew there were people who I couldn't live without and I always thought they were the people I saw every day, every week but I am now coming to realize that its the difference in people I cant live without. Whether I see them every day or not, its the difference they make on me that is important. Nothing changes, its just the way I interpret life.

Bye now

My Sensational Test

Yesterday was a good day for Cricket!
Yesterday the second test between Australia and England Finished in thrilling style with the Aussies hitting the winning runs with only a few balls left. It has been called the greatest test match ever played and I'm so happy I witnessed it.

Driving home from work we actually listened to it on the radio which is down right crazy because normally Cricket is even a little boring when you are watching it on TV so just listening to the sound is 99.9% of the time a 99.9% waste of time but it was good yesterday. We got home just in time to see the last hour of play and it was amazing. I have never seen such scenes of jubilation after a test match. It was amazing.

My 138

Well this is my 138th post and its a bit of an update I guess. This old thing hasn't been getting the attention it likes lately because work has been killing me. I ended up working over 70 hours last week including a 13 hour day Friday and a 14 hour day Saturday so that was tough.

The week involved me working then pretty much relaxing at home at night with the girl. Friday night I was supposed to go and see Steve and his band The Lost Show play up at Reynella but I was so tired I didn't make it. Saturday was a big day and after work I headed out to one of my oldest friends 21st. It was at his house and it was really good because it was a very different crowd of people. I saw a few people I hadn't seen in months and years and it ended up being a decent night. I beer bonged a few cans of VB which may have been the worst idea I have ever had.

During the day Sunday I pretty got out of bed and onto the couch. I watched the cricket and did not much else. I was tired from work and hung over like a bitch so it suited me fine. The girl cruised around and did things with my sister and mum but I didn't move much.

Sunday night was a night I had been looking forward to for a long time. Rise Against were in town. Me and the gang went and saw them play at Fowlers Live and damn it was a good show. I saw them last year at the Taste Of Chaos tour when it was here but damn they were good this time. The gig was outside at Fowlers which they have only ever done one other time when Alkaline Trio played there and of coarse I was there :)

The only let down this week has been that people keep offering me free tickets to the cricket (Tilney, Rhys) and I cant go because of work. I think I may have to take a day off to go to a day nighter or something like that because its so damn fun.

That's it really, have fun.

My Anna Molly

Ok so Incubus' last CD was terrible in my eyes and I just got an earfull of their new CD and new single "Anna Molly". Its not the same as their old tunes but its pretty damn good. Check it out. Anna Molly

My Week, Till Thursday

This week has been crazy again. They aren't slowing down for some reason.

Monday... Well I don't remember what I did Monday cause I'm tired so just let it go. Tuesday saw me make a trip to The Ed. for Patrice and Hoggots birthday. It was a pretty good night because there was a large crowd there and its always good to catch up with everyone. Last night I headed down to the bay for Hoggots birthday tea with his family. We dined at a really nice Japanese restaurant and I quite enjoyed the food which for me is odd because I don't eat fish and am not normally a fan of Japanese food. Work has been flat out. I worked over 70 hours last week and I have worked about 45 so far this week. The early mornings have been killing me because I have been going out too late at night but hey what can you do. Here's our panel progress.

From this.

To This. We are pouring the 11th panel tomorrow.

Have fun now.

My Addiction

Years ago a few friends of mine where into it. They used to go through a few packs a day. After only a short while I was hooked. Its been nearly five years now and I have only just kicked the habit.

It all started in year nine when Rhys, Dale and I were in the same class, 9.1. They had been chewing chewy for a while but I was new to the scene. I got started off on Extra. For me its always been mint. Now some people have strayed over the years and been on spearmint but I have stayed true to mint. In my later years I started chewing Eclipse because they are crunchy at the start.

When I was at school I used to chewy through two packs a day and the same goes for when I was at uni. For some reason now that I'm working I hardly seem to have any. In the last couple of weeks I haven't even gone through one pack which for me is amazing. From living with chewy in my mouth to none at all is pretty much like quitting smoking.

We all have our addictions, mines just different ok.

My Accident

This week has been full on. I have been working 12 hour days all week as we are trying to get as much work done as possible because we are a bit behind at the moment. I was working by myself today and it made the day even hard. My dad and I were just packing up at the end of the day and I managed to fall out of the casting bed. I went to step out onto a crate and it moved and I ended up falling flat on my back. The bed is only about a meter high but hot damn it hurt. I laid on the ground for about 5 minutes trying to get my breath back. After that I said fuck it and we headed home.

I also got burnt from welding. Its a tough life, lol.
(The photo is the casting bed I fell off.)

Monday on the other hand was a good day. I have been sick for the last few months and the doctor finally ordered a blood test. I went and had it done the Wednesday before, which was a challenge because I hate needles. The weirdest part about the whole experience was that the nurse held my hand to make it better. I felt like saying "lady I'm 20 this is just weird", but I didn't.

So I got the results Monday and for once in my life I was glad to have failed a test. The doctor told me I have had glandular fever but I am now over it which is good. He also told me some other interesting things. Apparently I have an incredibly high hemoglobin level, he said it is almost twice the level a normal person has. Hemoglobin is the protein that's carries oxygen in your red blood cells. He also told me I have very high iron levels as well which is another good thing. I'm not super man because I can walk but I'm still pretty damn good.

Well that's it. Bye now.

My Good Pour

Friday night Layno and I headed into to Gouger Street to see some of the cars from the Classic Adelaide Rally. We ate at Hogs Breath which is where the girl works now and it was an incredible meal. The cars from the Rally where also very impressive and it had Layno and I wishing and wanting. There were a few 1950's Porsches and plenty of Ferrari's as well as some old Holdens and a priceless Lamborgini Contach which made us stare. My favourite was the white HSV model of my new car which filled me with envy.

Saturday we poured another of the wall panels for the warehouse we are building and it went 100% better than the first one we poured. We finished it easily and had enough time to get set up for Monday without having to work Sunday which I was happy about.

After working all day Saturday in the 30+ heat I was tired but still keen to do something so a few of us; Layno, Hoggot, Susi, Sam and the girl, headed to a friends of ours from school's house party. It was nothing too thrilling but it was great t see some of the people I hadn't seen for a while. We left early to head up to Sams house.

Sams house over the years has been a rarely visited spot for our group. That said the few times a year that we do head up there it normally ends up in a massive piss up with much fun had by all. Last night wasn't so much a piss up as I was driving but it was great to be up there again.

I thought it would be good to head to the best Mexican restaurant in Adelaide tonight, Montezumas, so I am. Bye now

My Week

This week has been flat out and I'm buggered. We have started pouring panels for the walls of a warehouse we are building and the job has been a bit of a mess so far. We are still in the planning and test faze of some of the panels so its taking more time than it should and this week has been a bit of a struggle.

The boys and I headed to the Kentish this week which was a first for quiet some time and it was really good to catch up with Calvin and Smith because I hadn't seen them for a few weeks. I haven't really been out all that much though because I have been working long hours and I have been tired.

A few major things have happened though ad that is that Cat got a tattoo and its Tilney's last exam tomorrow so cool and well done.

Tonight I'm heading into the restaurant that the girl works at to have tea with Layno and then to look at some of the cars that are competing in the Classic Adelaide Rally so that should be good. I'm working all weekend which is a drag but the money will be nice so yay.
By now.

My Thunderstruck

We had rain on the weekend which was actually an odd thing. It hasn't really rained here since the very start of our winter so over 6 months ago and it was weird to see and hear heavy rain. The rain came with an incredible thunder and lightening storm which was brilliant to watch. Most things on the landscape look a bit worse for wear so I hope this will green them up a bit.

The weekend was pretty mundane because I worked Saturday and was pretty tired and lethargic so the highlight was definitely hanging out with the boys at calvins and playing poker. It ended pretty late and I ended up coming third so I lost money but it was still a great night.

I'm still sick so I'm going to head to the doctor tomorrow. I have had tonsillitis symptoms for the last three months so I have a feeling I may have glandular fever but I don't think there is much they can do for that so I will just have to keep doing what I'm doing.
Have fun.

My Foamy Fingers

I used a gap filler today to fill some gaps and now I have grey sticky stuff on my hands. I have washed them a few times now and it still wont come off.

Today was a long tough day. It was hot too and I got a little burnt. Damn this pale Swedish skin of mine. All in all its been a long week and I still have a day to go. I'm heading out for a bit tonight but because of the early start tomorrow it will definitely be a quiet one.

Today is Friday so its the last day of comedy videos. I hope you all enjoyed them.

Have fun. Bye now.

My Lazy Day

Well today ended up being not what I expected it to be. Every few months we have a job where we have to clean out a few pits at a company called Fibrelogic. They make fibreglass pipes and when they cut them all the residue flows into these few pits. Its a chit job really because it make you so itchy but we change them so its ok. Today didn't go as planned.

We hired a large bilge pump to pump the sludge out and it died on the first pump. The rest of the day pretty much consisted of us sitting around and getting paid. You see the job is on charge up so even if we couldn't work we still get paid. Too easy I say. Money for nothing.

Have fun, bye now.

My Comedy Week

This week I have decided to post a different video each day of a comedian I like. Its really because I have been spending some time on youtube tonight but still, good on me.

Today was a weird day because I worked by myself and I haven't done that for a while. It was actually quite boring but I got the job done so its A ok.

I had a weird dream the other night. It had a normal beginning but ended up with me fighting with another guy about the fact that I had webbed feet and hands and could swim very well where as he had gills and could breathe under water but could not swim very well. It was an odd thing to wake up after such an odd dream but it was ok cause I was warm and cozy.

Just a few sentences. Bye now.

My Almost Girlfriend.

Its weird how other people perceive your relationships with people. I have a friend, Tilney, and we are very close. We hang out a lot and sometimes do things couples do. She has a boyfriend and I have a girlfriend so there is nothing behind it but we do find ourselves on dates sometimes.

I started with the two of us heading to an Italian restaurant down at the Bay which we now call our first date, hehe. On Friday night we had out second date. I headed round to save her from another friend and her date for the night. I picked her up and we decided to have gelati. We headed into the store and asked if we could get a cup of gelati. The attendant asked if we would like a cone and I said it would be weird if we shared a cone. The girl found it hilarious which ended up a bit weird. We then decided to walk down the jetty an enjoy our banana, coffee and chocolate gelati... very romantic. In a way its kinda cool having one and a half girlfriends but don't tell either of them, lol.

My... Urgh

I'm stuffed. The last few days at work have been long and tough. I worked 13 hours yesterday and today I feel like I'm going to die. Its weird how much one day of work can take it out of you. I can barely lift my arms.

On a lighter note I ate 4 KFC Zinger burgers last night and it was good. Tonight people are heading over to mine because the rest of my family have gone down to my shack for the weekend. We will kick it here before probably heading down to the bay for a few drinks. woooord.

Bye now.

My Tonsillitis... Again

Last night was pretty good. The family, the girl and I headed out to tea for my old mans birthday day and the meal was very good. We sat down just in time to watch the sunset which was nice too.

After tea I started to feel a bit average and I soon realised what it was. I had been feeling pretty lousy all weekend but I thought it was just because I was run down from work but last night it really hit me. I have tonsillitis again. This is going to be the third time in about two months. Gay house.

I felt ok this morning before work but during the afternoon a started to feel lethargic again. I will have to go see the doctor again which should be fun and hopefully I don't have to get the suckers yanked out.

Well that's my tales of tonsillitis. Have fun. Bye now.

My Sore Neck

Yesterday was hilarious. There were a lot of drunk old people at Julies 50th and it made it worth being there. It was good to see some of Adams family because I have known him for 16 or something years now and I have met most of his family. It was a pretty good day in the end and I left pretty drunk.

After the party Sam and I headed into town to see Raised Fist. It was amazing. Raised Fist are a Swedish hardcore band and they are very different to any other band in that genre. They are very positive guys and it was amazing to see them live. After the gig we chilled out back at Adams and recovered.

Today has been a lazy day for me. I got up late because yesterday and last night really took it out of me and I woke up with an incredibly sore neck. I spoke to Sam and he said he was sore too. I think it was because I got hit with a guy while I was in the mosh but I'm unsure, lol.
Bye now.

My Slow, Fast

Well this weekend has been rather slow. I worked yesterday so I went out Friday night until 11 which was exciting. I had a 6:00am start so I wasn't all that keen to go out Saturday night but it was ok. We cruised around the bay then decided to head into the casino. I was $25 dollars up at one stage then lost me money, lol. It was an ok night though. Today is going to be fast. I'm heading to a friends mums 50th then a friends sisters 22nd then out to see raised fist play at the uni bar. Should be crazy. Have fun.
Bye now.

My I'm Back Post... Delayed

Ok so I got back from Queensland on Saturday and its now Thursday. That equals me being lazy and busy.

Queensland was amazing. It was so good to have a holiday and just hang out with the girl. While we were up there we went to some of the attractions like Sea World where the girl swam with sharks, we ate too much, including buying a litre of chocolate chip and cookie dough ice cream only to find that it wouldn't fit in the hotel fridge so we had to eat all of it. We cruised around to different places, we went to one of their big shopping centres and walked around. We tried to get into the casino but I told the girl it was Queensland and of coarse they would let her in with thongs on but they didn't. We spent a whole day at the beach and in the hotel pool and on the last night there we went on a night club tour which was really good. I wasn't drinking because I was still on my antibiotics but I still had fun. Overall it was a great trip.

We got back at 8:15pm on Saturday night. I rushed home and showered and got changed before we headed out for the girls 21st. It was great to meet some of her friends that I had never met before and it was awesome to see all my people. The night ended pretty early because me and the girl were very tired. We got up the next day and watched motor racing which was good because holden won, woot.

This week has been flat, flat, flat out. We started a huge job building a factory which will keep us busy for the next few months. I saw the comedian Arj Barker Tuesday, went out to tea with Tilney Wednesday and was out for tea again tonight. I cant believe its been so long since I have posted... Photos.

The sunset the night before I left for Queensland. My plane. Sea World. The view from the tallest building in Surfers Parradise. A fish a Sea World. A Puffer fish. One of the sharks the girl swam with. The Arj Barker comedy gig.

My Bad Timing

I'm sick. Its craphouse.
I had a massive day at work yesterday. It involved my old man and I lifting 75, 97kg concrete blocks to make a retaining wall. I started to feel lousy at the end of the day and this morning I felt like hell so I went to the doctor and yea I have tonsillitis again which sucks. I leave for Queensland tomorrow so I'm doped up on antibiotics and I should be fine.

As I said I leave for Queensland tomorrow so for the next few days there will be zero posts but when I get back there will be a massive one with pictures gallore. Awesome.
Well have fun. Bye now.

My Laundry

Ok so I had to head down to the laundry mat on Friday because our clothes dryer died and wearing wet clothes so work sucks. I took some photos of my car from inside and then I took photos of white goods. Guaranteed A+ blogging material.

The end of the week was different to usual this week. Thursday was tough. I had to travel over to the otherside of town to bore some hole for a retaining wall and it was 42 degrees Celsius. It was way to hot for me. I got the job done but thought I was going to die. After work I learnt that Hoggot had, had a shitty day too so we headed down to the Dublin for a Guinness. Lovely.

Friday was great. I worked in the morning but then had the afternoon off so I headed out and bought the girl a birthday present and bought some shirts for me. I headed out to tea at Montezumas with Tilney and Elyse and it was great because I have so much fun with those two. We cruised around a bit after tea but finished up at the Dublin again with quite a few people so it was good.

Saturday was another day at work. We finished late but I was excited because we had a big night planned. We headed out to the Havy which isn't one of my normal spots but it was a really good night. I got ridiculously drunk and barely made it home but damn it was a good night. Cheers to everyone who shouted me drinks in the end :). I have to say I feel bloody terrible today and I didn't end up making it out of bed till 3:30. The day slowed down after I woke up and its really just been water and TV since then.

Have fun

My Flavour

My Damage

Its funny when things go wrong at work and my old man and me just laugh it off. We had been working all day carting concrete from the back of a house through a very narrow gate that was just wide enough for our bobcat. On the last load just as we were cleaning up I grabbed the last big bit of concrete and carried it out. It was hanging out of the bucket about a foot but I couldn't see it and as I went through the gate I shredded it. It was made of aluminum so I pretty much destroyed it. It was funny though because once I stopped and got out my dad had come round from the other side of the house, we looked at each other and just kind of shrugged and complained about how things like this always happen on the last load.

Tonight I headed out for tea at the Kentish with the boys. It was a quiet one because a lot of people were busy and Calvin is working there now. It was still a great meal and now I'm soo full I may even get an early one and head to bed.

I'm awesome, and I'm out. Bye now.

My Dust Complaint

So the girl left for Queensland yesterday. Its weird having that much distance between me and her. In fact it has made me think how can people handle having long distance relationships. They would be pretty boring.

Today was dusty and I hated it. We bought a block of land a while ago and just started knocking parts of the house down so we can use it as a yard for all our gear as well as renting the house out. The soil is bull dust and its shocking. All day long it is dusty no matter what you do. We knocked everything down and cleared the backyard before putting rubble down to calm the dust but for the few days that we had to put up with it, it was al I complained about. Bloody dust.

Bye now.

My Catch Up

Last night was fun. It was weird that a normal night down the bay ended up with catching up with a few people I hadn't seen for a long time. Layno, Hoggot and I headed down to the Dublin for a pint of Guinness or two before meeting up with Steve and Bridie. We decided to head t the Holdy where some people from school were drinking. The girl came down after work and the night was set.

Two people were out that I hadn't seen for a long time. Sean a mate of mine who plays AFL football for collingwood was back in Adelaide and it was great to see him. Me and him ended up getting entered into a strong arm contest where you had to hold a beer stein full of water straight out from your body. It was bloody hard and I think I only lasted 4 minutes. I came third or fourth I think so that's ok. The next person was Katie. Kate went overseas to London and places for two months so it is great to have her back because she is so much fun.

The night ended quite early for me and the girl because I worked all day and she had worked all night. We headed home for a quickie and then bed time.

Today started off well but ended badly. Today was the Bathurst 1000 race. It is the biggest V8 supercar race of the year and I was excited because it was on. It started badly because my favourite driver got shunted off on the first corner and it ended badly because a Ford won and I'm a Holden fan. It was a sad race because it was in memory of the late Peter Brock and I just read an article that stated that a driver who was injured in a crash at Bathurst on Friday passed away a few hours ago. Its amazing how things like this can be so unexpected in such a dangerous sport.

Today was also weird for me because it was the last time I will see my girl till I meet up with her in Queensland on the 18th. She flies out tomorrow and I have to work so I wont be able to see her off. Its a weird feeling knowing that you wont see someone who you are so close to for a week and a half. That said it will make spending 4 days in Queensland with her even better.

Photos: 1st, I waited outside the restaurant on Wednesday night for the girl and this is what I saw. 2nd, A job we did during the week. This is the steel stage. 3rd The same job but the finished concrete.

Well that's it for now. Have fun guys. Bye now.

My Photos Found.

Ok so everything is a bit hectic cause I'm working lots but its ok cause I'm making money, yay. We found our digital camera so I now have decent photos of my old and new cars to put up on here. I also have photos from working all week and some other stuff so I will put them up after work tomorrow.

I was boring tonight and didn't go out because I was tired and I have to work tomorrow but I'm pretty sure Saturday night will be good so its all gravy baby. Just a quickie for now. More tomorrow people. Bye now.

My One Small Step

I read the other day that a scientist has reviewed the audio from the first moon landing and apparently Neil Armstrong did add the famous "a" into his speech. His original speech was supposed to say "Thats one small step for a man, one giant leap for man kind", but in the first transmissions it was heard as "Thats one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind". The first one states the human races triumph but the second one, the speech thought to be originally heard, contradicts its self. It is weird that it took all this time for someone to really look into this but I guess you would have to be pretty bored to want to.

Today was just another day at work. We prepared a sub base and dug some footings that will be steeled up tomorrow. Earlier tonight my family and the girls family went out for tea to celebrate the girls 21st birthday. It all went well and was a pretty good night in the end.

Thats it, its bed time. Bye now.

My Massive Post, Again

Ok so I need to stop doing these massive posts but lately I haven't had time to think let alone blog. So here is what has happened to me in the last few days.

Wednesday was a huge day. I saw a new Commodore on Friday that I thought looked amazing. I bought it Monday and picked it up Wednesday. My Parents, the girl and I drove up to Tununda which is about an hour away from my house to get the car and I have to say, its awesome. Wednesday was also me and the girls 5 month anniversary so that was great to celebrate as well. Wednesday night I went and saw Karnivool play at the uni bar and again was blown away by how great their performance was. If you have the chance you have to see them.

Here are some pictures of my new car. I took a heap using my parents digital camera but it got stolen so these ones were done on my phone. I will try and post some better ones, especially of the interior because it is beautiful.

Thursday was a huge day at work. I worked over 12 hours and was pretty tired afterwards. We went bowling that night and then I hit bed pretty hard.
Friday was another long 12 hour day at work and another early night. I was tired so I didn't go out. The girl came round after work and I just chilled out with her.

Saturday was the AFL grand final so it was over to hoggots house for a BBQ and to watch the game. It was the usual crowd and it was great to see a few people I hadn't seen for a while. We headed into town that night for two girls I went to school with's birthdays. Again it was good to see a few people I hadn't seen for a while and a pretty good night in the end.

Sunday we got up early and drove down to Victor Harbour to run in the new car and just to drive it really, lol. Layno drove too and it was a really nice drive. We had lunch in Victor and then played mini golf for the hell of it. We went and visited Emma at her shack on Hindmarsh Island and then came home. The drive took it out of me more than I thought it would and I was planning an early night until I headed up to see Beno and then chilled out at hoggots house.

Today was a public holliday in South Australia so it was weird to not be working on a Monday. I didn't really do anything but wash my car and just fiddle around with the options on the car all day. Nothing too exciting really. I'm heading out for a BBQ tea at Hoggots in a little bit so that should be good too.

Well that was it really. Have fun now.

My Big Weekend Minus Photos!

So that's pretty much what happened. It was a pretty eventful weekend but I didn't really take any photos. Quite dumb really.

Friday night started when the girl headed off for a trial period at her new job. She found out straight away that she had the job which was great. I headed down the bay to meet up with Sam. We had planned to see a band called Poetikool Justice at the Jetty Bar but Sam read the flyer wrong and it was the next night, lol. We chilled out with Nicole and had a few beers anyway before we headed over to the Dublin Pub to meet up with Hoggot, Elise and their cousin Marco. On our way in we ran into Steve and Ben which was cool because I hadn't seen them for a while. We chilled out some more and had a few gin and tonics. We soon got bored of the Dublin so Steve, Ben and I decided to head off home. While walking back to our cars we walked past the backpackers hostel which is down the bay. There is a bar underneath the hostel and it is normally pretty busy. I have walked past it a thousand times but never actually headed in there so we headed in. There was a jazz band playing and a heap of couches. It was pretty relaxed and actually pretty cool. We had a drink and then it was home time.

Saturday started pretty late with a phone call from the girl. She came around to watch the footy before heading to work again. It was a good game but tragedy struck and we lost. It was the preliminary final so we missed out on being in the grand final. Its ok there is always next year. The girl left for work and I headed down the bay again to actually see Poetikool Justice. I got down to the Jetty Bar and ended up meeting up with a heap of people because it was a friend of mines girlfriends birthday. It was awesome to hang out with a different group of people and it with Poetikool playing it made it a awesome night. After the band we headed back to the backpackers hostel again but it was super quiet so it was off to the Holdy to meet up with more people. There was a line up of about 6 people which took way to long to get in, lol. It was good though because I got to hang out with more people I don't see al that often and it was a very decent night. The girl and I finally got home around 2ish and crashed pretty much straight away.

This morning the girl and I were both a bit sluggish because apparently when you drink alcohol you get hung over or something. The plan was to get out of bed but it took longer than expected. Once we were up we headed out to one of the girls friends places so I could meet some of her friends and get the 20 questions from one of her very close friends mums. It went pretty well and we ended up having a few drinks and a pretty good time. The girl and I headed back to mine for tea after meeting everyone but nothing was planned so we just went out. I ate too much as usual and still feel a little sick.

Tomorrow is another working week so I'm sure there will be a few posts. Have fun. Bye now.

My Day To Day

Well yesterday was pretty full on. Work was crazy! We poured a driveway and I worked way to hard in the morning. We didn't stop to get breakfast till 12:30 so I was so hungry I ate a hamburger with the lot, a hotdog with the lot and then $2.80 worth of chips, lol. The afternoon was pretty relaxed as we just cleaned up and headed back to the yard. It was a good day in the end but it was tough.

After work I came home, showered and relaxed before the girl came round and we had tea. We both had to play netball and neither of us were in the mood for it. We won which was good but it made both of us very tired because the game didn't start till 9pm.

I didn't work today because my old man went out to the race track at Mallala to drive a V8 supercar. It was bad because the money would have been nice but it was good because I slept in till 11. Good on me. Bye now.

My Biggest Post About Melbourne Ever

This is it. The Melbourne trip. I had a great time and it was so good to spend a few days having fun with good friends. You can either read all of this or just look at the photos, lol.

Friday
Well we made it to the airport with about 30 minutes till our plane boarded so we decided to head to the Coopers Ale House which is the bar inside the airport. After watching some planes come and go and downing a few beers we boarded our plane. We had a few more drinks on the plane so we were ready to go once we landed.

Celeste picked us up and it was so good to see her smiling face again because it had been 6 months since last time we were in Melbourne. We rushed back to hers and headed straight into town. The first stop was The College Lawn. We couldn't find any college or lawn but we drank anyway. The footy was playing in the background and we kept getting glares when we cheered for the non Melbourne team.

Celeste and some of her friends soon tired of the College Lawn so we headed to a place called the Blue Bar. They served long necks which are 750ml bottles so I had one of those and chilled out on some couches. After all the drinks and the jetlag from the 50 minute flight we were tired so headed home and crashed.

Saturday
Saturday started quite late and we decided that lunch was the go so we headed down to St Kilda to eat at a Italian place on the main street. The food was great but we ended up ordering way too much. I had the terrible idea that a jagerbomb would help us so we had a couple in a very dingy pub just down from the restaurant. After food and drink nothing is better than walking along the beach so we waddled down and took in some sea breeze.

The idea on the way back was that we needed some alcohol for the trip. We stopped off at a bottlo and bought some beer and different assortments of drinks. We ended up drinking a fair bit on the 25 minute ride home and were a bit tipsy by the time we got back.

Celeste is the proud owner of a pinball machine so after watching the footy on TV and eating way too much pizza again Calvin, Layno and I stayed up and played pinball till the wee hours of the morning while the girl, Celeste and Hoggot all got a good nights sleep. It seems slightly sad that three blokes would sit at someone's house and drink and drink and drink and play pinball till six in the morning but it was just what I wanted. It gave me a chance to hang out with Calvin and Layno which I hadn't done for a while because of my work, their work and Calvin going to uni. It was pretty lame but it was a good night in the end. I ended up with the Highest score so I took a photo.

Sunday
The three of us were awoken Sunday morning by the three who had slept the night before after 5 hours sleep. I felt ok but was still a little drunk and very sleepy. The plan was to have Mexican for lunch and then head to the zoo. It was going fine till I had a beer at Montezumas. This made me feel terrible and it wasn't till I choked down my second beer that I started to feel ok again.

We headed off to the zoo which was an odd thing for me because I hadn't been to a zoo since I was in year 3 at school. It was fun to see all the animals but I was still feeling terrible and was starting to get even sleepier. A nap was the next plan but it ended up with us watching back to the future 3 until we were all hungry enough to decide on a place for tea.

We made a quick stop off at the Melbourne observation deck to take in the beautiful skyline. I visited the lookout deck last time I was in Melbourne but it was during the day and I have to say the lights were spectacular.

Italian food was on the plate again so we headed to Ligon Street which is the main street for Italian restaurants. The food was good and the ice cream after was even better. On the way home their was another call for drinks and the night started off again.

Back at Celestes again we watched some TV then decided on drinking games. I felt so bloated from all the beer from the last two nights so Layno and I decided to get gin for gin and tonics. They went down well but it didn't take long before we all became a bit lazy. There was a few more games of pinball and then it was time for bed.

Monday
Celeste and Adam had shopped on Saturday and bought food for a picnic so we made the easy decision of going on a picnic in the botanical gardens. The grass was wet so we ended up sitting on plastic bags which made it a weird experience.

Last time I was in Melbourne Layno and I had come over for the F1 racing. We had a day to ourselves when Celeste had to go to work so we walked around the main CBD. We discovered a cool bowling alley so we decided to take everyone there this time. I did really well in the first round and won but didn't fare too well in the second and bowled forty something.

We packed all our gear back into our bags and realized we couldn't take any of the alcohol that we had bought the previous day back with us. So with an hour till we had to leave for the airport we drank half a bottle of gin, a couple Jim beam and cokes and way too much beer... Between three of us. By the time we made it to the airport, Calvin, Layno and I were drunk again. We made it through all the security checks and had 15 minutes before boarding which left us just enough time for a beer at the bar.

The flight home saw another three drinks, a very funny flight and the end to a great trip. I got home, did nothing and then crashed.

Tuesday
I woke up this morning for work feeling pretty average. I was tired, maybe hung over and not real happy about work. We poured a small concrete pad and then headed out to pick up our new excavator. Its a bit bigger than we thought and only just fit in the back of our truck. On the way home we were just about to pass under a bridge when my dad looked at me and said, wow, I hope we have enough clearance. The bridge was 4.2 meters high. We made it. Back at the yard we decided to see how high the boom was sticking out of the back of the truck. It measured in at 4.1 meters!!!! Ten centimeters was way to close! At least now we know, lol.

That's it! I'm going to bed now. Bye
