My 2006

Well unless everyone is lying to me its another year down the drain. It was a good one though so its ok. This year was full of excitement, highs, lows and people i love. It saw my life change in many different ways. I went to uni, dropped out of uni, started my career and found someone I love. I saw friends leave and come home again and I saw bands from all over the world come to my little town to make me jump around and smile. This year, even with its low lights was a good year and I hope the next one is just as intense.

To all my readers I hope you have a safe but more importantly fun new years eve and I hope this next year is one to remember for all the right reasons.

Good bye for this year. Have fun and be safe.

My Five Months

Five months ago my friend flew away. She left her life here in Australia to live in Malaysia for five months. We chatted on the net and sent each other photos of our lives and it was ok but it was nothing like actually having my friend here. Today she came home.

I headed to the airport this morning to pick her up and I have to admit I was nervous. What if she had changed? What if it was awkward after us not seeing each other for so long? What if she was tanned?

Nothing has changed and it is the best feeling. I like it when my life changes but I hate it when people change. It has happened in the past and I have lost friend because of it but she did not change. Same girl, same personality and still pale :)

Everything is ok.

My Three Day Holiday

So whats been going on? Well what hasn't been going on.

I finally took a few days off and ended up doing not a lot. I did spend them with the girl though which was sooo good. We headed down to my farm which is in the south of the state and it was amazing to get down there because I haven't been down there for maybe 10 months. The whole place is very dry because of the recent drought but it was still nice to be down there again. We saw plenty of possums and the family of kangaroos that live down there so it was great that the girl could see everything.

Today was Christmas and it was a pretty good day. Normally I'm not the biggest Christmas fan but this one went very smooth. The family, the girl and I woke up to open presents and then had a huge breakfast and later in the afternoon the girl and I headed to her mums house for Christmas tea.

The last week was definitely a rushed full on week so i hope this week is a bit more casual but with new years eve coming up I don't think it will be. I'm looking forward to the eve but looking forward to the new year even more.

Did I mention that I played poker on Wednesday night at my mate Kosta's house and got completely killed, lol.

Bye now!

My Sorry Sorry

I hate it when people say sorry all the time when they have nothing to be sorry about. Well I don't hate it, there are only a few things in this world that I hate, but I do dislike it.

I finally got some of my Christmas shopping done tonight. I headed over to Marion to get a haircut and bought a few things for the girl and the family. I still have a few things to go but I will hopefully get it done. Just as I left Marion the second wave of the thunderstorm that blew in today hit and it dumped a mountain of rain on my car. Thank god it wasn't hail. Its really weird to have rain this late in December but we really need it because we have been in drought.

While I was shopping around I got a craving for Hubba Bubba so i bought some, grape flavour to be exact, and it was good. I haven't had Hubba Bubba for years. Still good.

Have fun.

My Erection

Its Up! We finally lifted all the panels and the flat bit of land we have been working now looks like a big oblong, hehehe oblong. Today was a long day. Its probably the toughest day we have had while working on this job and I'm just about keen for bed and its only 9:18. This is just a quick post with some photos so there will be more sometime soon.

The photos are of the crane, the actual lifting of some of the panels, A few shots from up high again and the finished product.
Bye now.

My Sky High

The panels are going up tomorrow so i will be finished with this god damn job for at least a week. We hired a boom lift so that we could get up to secure the panels and it extends up to 12.5 meters. I took it all the way up so that I could get some photos. I'm not a huge fan of heights so it was a bit freaky but still cool.

I seriously haven't done anything since the last post but work, come home eat and sleep. Its been ridiculous. This weekend i actually went out a bit. I was tired as shit but i needed a break. Friday night me and the girl just headed out for tea down at the bay and Saturday night I headed to a bar called the Alma to hang out with some of the girls friends. Its weird me and the girl have been going out for nearly 8 months but I don't know her friends all that well so it was good to hang out with them. A few of her guys friends are good blokes so we get along pretty well.

Today was my day off so the girl and I picked Hoggot and Layno up and headed to the Kentish for drinks for Calvins birthday. As you know we normally head to the Kentish for a parmy every couple of weeks but today i had TWO! One for lunch and then one again for tea. They were both great and now i feel terribly terribly full. It was a really good day. We got there at about 12:30 and left at about 8. It was a really long time to spend in such a small pub but it was fun. I lost money on the pokies and Hoggot, as usual won a few times.

As i said before the crane is coming at 7am tomorrow to lift the panels up. After tomorrow we have a bit of mucking around to do but that is it for a few weeks before we start pouring the floors. I'm so happy and cant wait to take some time off. I like working 6 and 7 days a week because the money is great but after working 80 hour weeks for a few months its starting to drag. Christmas is looking like it will be fun and i have a few plans for new years eve so that should be good too. More later.

Bye now.

My White While

Hmmm, its been a while hasn't it. Nearly a week.

Not all that much has happened really. Work has been ridiculous. I worked nearly 80 hours last week, with a couple of 14 hour days so i haven't really been in the mood to post. The weekend was good but short because of overwhelming tiredness. Friday night was a quiet night in due to work Saturday and Saturday night included a few games of pool at Chalkers with Sam's Scottish uncle and aunt.

My friend from Melbourne, Sessle, is in town at the moment so we went to Montezumas last night with some of her other friends and then hit Chalkers again. It doesn't get much better than Mexican and pool.

Thursday is a good day to look forward to because it is the day we poor the last panel and it means i will actually have some time off to relax or even think once and a while. I will be glad when we finish this job because it definitely has been a struggle. Its been good but its been a struggle.

More after Thursday :)

My Six Month Friends

In the last week or so I have come to the realization that there are a few people who I struggle to see once ever six months who I am very close to.

Its odd when I think about the types of relationships that I have with friends. Some people I see every day and barely take in their presence but I also have friends where I wont see them for 8 months and then the moment we start talking its as if no time has passed at all. Its weird the different ways people are important to you.

I always knew there were people who I couldn't live without and I always thought they were the people I saw every day, every week but I am now coming to realize that its the difference in people I cant live without. Whether I see them every day or not, its the difference they make on me that is important. Nothing changes, its just the way I interpret life.

Bye now

My Sensational Test

Yesterday was a good day for Cricket!
Yesterday the second test between Australia and England Finished in thrilling style with the Aussies hitting the winning runs with only a few balls left. It has been called the greatest test match ever played and I'm so happy I witnessed it.

Driving home from work we actually listened to it on the radio which is down right crazy because normally Cricket is even a little boring when you are watching it on TV so just listening to the sound is 99.9% of the time a 99.9% waste of time but it was good yesterday. We got home just in time to see the last hour of play and it was amazing. I have never seen such scenes of jubilation after a test match. It was amazing.

My 138

Well this is my 138th post and its a bit of an update I guess. This old thing hasn't been getting the attention it likes lately because work has been killing me. I ended up working over 70 hours last week including a 13 hour day Friday and a 14 hour day Saturday so that was tough.

The week involved me working then pretty much relaxing at home at night with the girl. Friday night I was supposed to go and see Steve and his band The Lost Show play up at Reynella but I was so tired I didn't make it. Saturday was a big day and after work I headed out to one of my oldest friends 21st. It was at his house and it was really good because it was a very different crowd of people. I saw a few people I hadn't seen in months and years and it ended up being a decent night. I beer bonged a few cans of VB which may have been the worst idea I have ever had.

During the day Sunday I pretty got out of bed and onto the couch. I watched the cricket and did not much else. I was tired from work and hung over like a bitch so it suited me fine. The girl cruised around and did things with my sister and mum but I didn't move much.

Sunday night was a night I had been looking forward to for a long time. Rise Against were in town. Me and the gang went and saw them play at Fowlers Live and damn it was a good show. I saw them last year at the Taste Of Chaos tour when it was here but damn they were good this time. The gig was outside at Fowlers which they have only ever done one other time when Alkaline Trio played there and of coarse I was there :)

The only let down this week has been that people keep offering me free tickets to the cricket (Tilney, Rhys) and I cant go because of work. I think I may have to take a day off to go to a day nighter or something like that because its so damn fun.

That's it really, have fun.

My Bears May Dance

I want to be a bear. I want to dance.
