My Burn Burn

I burnt my hand. It all started when the girl and I decided to head out to get a cheese dip from Montezumas. We picked up our dip and then got Subway on the way home. When we got home the cheese dip was cold so I zapped it in the microwave. When i took it out i slipped and dropped it but before it hit the ground I caught it again. The problem was, when I caught it, it went everywhere. It went all over my hands and clothes. It was really hot and by the time I got to the tap to wash it off it had blistered down one arm and on my right thumb. Bugger.

Not very smart. Hot cheese equals burnt hand and arm. Pouring concrete today using hands equals annoyance at everything. Not very happy.

My Gig and Weekend Job

Well the gig on Thursday was incredible. The crowd was pretty good for such a big venue and hopefully they will get even more people there next time. Its such an odd thing to watch friends play on stage especially when one is an ex band member. It was soo good though and I really think they will get somewhere.

The weekend was a bit hectic. The girls sister left on Saturday and that was definitely a low light. Its going to be really hard on the girl because they are very close and her sister is going away for a few years. There was tears galore at the airport which made it worse but we got through it. I headed straight to work from the airport. We have a big warehouse job to dig two pits and have them concreted Monday so we worked all Saturday and Sunday. We were lucky enough to make it home today just in time to watch the start of the third V8 race. Holden won so I was happy as Larry.

Last night the girl and I went down to the Grand to see some of her friends and to meet up with some of my chums. I always say I'm not a fan of the Grand but its all in the people you are there with. I had fun last night and even though I wasn't really drinking it was awesome to just be out with people who I don't see all that often or don't see enough.

There is always fun to be had if you can share it with the right people.

Bye byes.

My Out Of Home Experience

Well this is it, a post from the girls house. She finally got broadband so I'm doing ok but its weird typing on her laptop. The keys feel like they are going to fall off.

Well pretty boring week to be exact. I have been working pretty flat out but its been good. The week has flown by because i have been looking forward to tomorrow night all week. My friend Steve who I was once in a band with is playing a gig at HQ with his new band The Lost Show. Its going to be an awesome night and I have planned to head to the Kentish Early for tea then catch the gig. Its $3.00 beers so i might have a couple and it should be a great great night. Might even see you there.

Byes

My Week Away

Last week I stayed at the girls house because her sister is leaving next week to go to London for a few years to live and work so we have been trying to spend as much time as possible at her house so they can chill. Its weird living at someone else's house for extended periods, even when its not a new place.

No blogging happened last week because the girl, up until Friday only had 56k dial up and after having fast broadband dial up is, in one word, frustrating. So not a lot of writing happened. A lot of things happened though. We went out Saturday night for her sister going away party and had big plans of going out after but they never eventuated because we both felt a little ill so we headed home and relaxed.

Today was a good day. Today was the first race of the F1 series so people came round to mine to watch it. It was a pretty exciting race and it was unlucky but Australia's Mark Webber finished 12th. I'm really looking forward to staying up at night to watch the rest of the series. Its what I like.

More tomorrow. If you're lucky. Bye now.

My Big Night

I like Hahn Super Dry Beer. In fact I like it so much that I drank enough that it made me puke in my own lawn.

The weekend started very slowly. I had plans to go out Friday night but no one was very keen so the girl and I just chilled at home. Saturday night I had even bigger plans which really died. The girl and I went to a friend of hers 21st's to start the night and then she dropped me into town to meet up with people. I started at the Stag and couldn't get inside because i was wearing brown shoes???? After that disappointment I headed on over to the Havi to meet up with Tilney. I got in a bought a beer but after walking around for about 20 minutes I still couldn't find her so I left. It was a huge disappointment because I was looking forward to seeing everyone but it couldn't be helped so it was ok.

Sunday I decided to have people round at mine for a few beers and laughs. We started at about 4pm and kept going into the night. People came and went but there was a good crowd and I had a great night. It ended with me puking in the lawn but it was ok because I wasn't the only one who was feeling a bit under the weather. All in good fun.

Today I felt terrible. Absolutely terrible and didn't really do a lot of moving around. I finally got up at about 3 and did not much. My parents had been away all weekend for their anniversary so when they got home this afternoon we decided that we should go out to tea and celebrate. We went to a restaurant in town that is on top of a apartment block. it was really good and I ended up eating too much as usual and then having desert. Awesome.

Bye now.

My Bowling, Or Not

Tonight saw us at Montezumas for Mexican and it was soooo good as usual. I hope that place never closes because I think I would die. We chilled out and ate and ate and ate and then we went and got ice cream. It got late quickly so we didn't have time to go bowling but I still had a great time. Food makes me happy sometimes. Not in a weird way, like people who eat because they are down, there is nothing wrong with that but it has nothing to do with tonight, but in a way of enjoying something simply just because you can.

Still on 25peeps so check that out.
Bye

My Concrete

This week has been pretty busy so far. Since my parents got back we have been flat out doing industrial type jobs. I prefer industrial and commercial work to residential jobs like house footings because they are always quick jobs. We do a lot of pits and machine basses for tooling companies in Adelaide. They are good because after a few days of long hours your done. This week so far we have stripped down the pit we poured last week and concreted a base for a machine. They were both very easy jobs which is what I like.

On a different note, today was my best friend Cat's birthday. She is 20 today so happy birthday to her. We chilled out last night down the bay and it was hilarious as always. We had chocolate from a specialty chocolate store then went down to a chicken store called Nandos. We bought a burger and wanted to sit upstairs on the balcony but it was closed so we headed on over to Starbucks and chilled there. We ate to much as usual and felt sick but it was cool.

Apart from that its been a pretty mundane week but I'm sure it will pick up. I'm going to have Mexican food tomorrow night so that makes everything better.

A few things about the old site. More and more sites have been referring me which is great and if you too want to link me just place a link on your page and your site will show up on my referrer list. I'm still on 25peeps.com so go over there and click on my photo for me.

Awesome. Have fun. Byesies

My Gigs

Wow what a week. It was tough going from the last couple of weeks where i have been cruising along at work and not doing all that much at night to this week. Work has been flat out and I haven't had two seconds to my self at night. Its been an awesome week though.

Monday was the first day back at work with my dad and it was back to normal. The night couldn't come quick enough because I got to see NOFX play which was incredible. I have been a huge NOFX fan for many years. It all started when I was in year six. A friend of mines older brother was into them and lent me a cd. I was hooked and bought my all time favourite cd the next week, NOFX - I heard they suck live. I saw them play at the Warped tour in San Fransisco back in 2002 and it was so damn good to see them play again. They played about 100 songs and in the end played for about an hour and a half. The weirdest part of the night was the fact that this was one of the biggest concerts for me this year and I was so rushed that I forgot my ticket and had to drive all the way home and get it. Idiot!

Tuesday was a drag because I was sore ad tired from the mosh the night before. I got through work and then crashed at the girls house. It was our anniversary so we headed out for tea before having an early night.

Wednesday night was much the same. We concreted the floor of a pit we are putting in and it was a tough day. I stayed at the girls house again which was good and fell asleep early cause i was rooted.

Thursday dragged again because I had another gig to go to and I couldn't get there fast enough. It was hot during the day too which didn't help. After work we headed to the Kentish for a quick Parmy which was awesome and then to Thebby Theatre again to see Deftones play. Thrice supported them which made the gig even better. The lighting for the show was incredible and really added to the bands. NOFX where amazing because they are NOFX but Deftones also played an incredible show.

Friday night i caught up with my good friend Cat and we chilled out down the bay and drank coffee and watched the lightning from the beach front. It was so good to chat with her because we haven't spoken much of late.

The weekend started early as we were pouring concrete to finish off the pit we had been working on all week. We finished in the afternoon just in time to watch the start of the Clipsal 500. It was a really good race and Holden (the good team) won the first leg of the race. The girl and I headed to one of hers friends 21st's which was a bit of a let down for both of us because it was smaller than we thought it would be and wasn't all that exciting.

Today was relaxing. We didn't get up till late and did nothing but watch the rest of the race. Once again Holden won which made me incredibly happy. It was a really good race and a bit of a nail biter in the end which was good.

I hope this week is still jam packed but maybe a bit slower. I need time to relax. Have fun

Im also still on 25peeps.com so check my out and click click click!
